Hamilton businesswoman Lornae Lowe is urging people not to give up on Hamilton’s Claudelands Event Centre, despite recent concerns about its future.
“Claudelands is still a highlight for Hamilton,” says Ms Lowe, “and continues to have a lot to offer the local community and visitors alike.”
Claudelands Event Centre, which includes a 6000-capacity entertainment arena, a four-star conference centre and 10,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor exhibition space, is showing little outward sign of struggle.
“There are some fantastic events coming up at Claudelands,” says Ms Lowe. “The Ice Age show at the end of May is going to be a highlight. We’re expecting our guests to be very excited about that, as well as the other great shows coming up.”
Ice Age Live is an Ice-Skating Spectacular, to be held at Claudelands Arena from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 May. Based on the Ice Age movies, the show is suitable for all ages and will include the movie’s characters Sid, Manny, Diego and Scrat.
The Hamilton Women’s Lifestyle Expo will be held at Claudelands this weekend, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May from 10.00am to 5.00pm. It is an event for women of all ages and will showcase products from jewellery and beauty to business products, information, crafts, fitness, food and wine sampling.
Magic v Mystics: For netball fans, local team Magic will take on The Northern Mystics at Claudelands Arena on Saturday 21 May at 4.10pm.
Lornae Lowe says she enjoys recommending events at Claudelands to her guests at Aspen Manor Motel and is proud to have such an exceptional hub situated so close by.
